New keyrings, soggy weather, and the free gift offer is back
We’re right at the end of January now… and honestly, it’s felt like a long one. It’s also been pretty quiet on the order front, which is to be expected after Q4. The workshop naturally slows down a little, and you can almost feel everyone catching their breath.
The weather hasn’t helped either. We’ve had so much rain here. And I mean so much rain that we’ve actually had leaks in the house, which has been… less than ideal. Nothing like battling the weather while trying to keep everything dry and under control!
Still, I’ve been making the most of the quieter spell by properly knuckling down on new designs, especially keyrings. Lots of keyrings.

I’m talking cute dinosaurs, rugby and football shirts, fairy-themed bits, unicorns, space designs, rainbows… I’ve honestly lost track of how many we’ve made now. Just picture me completely head-absorbed in front of the computer, churning out designs while I’ve got the time to do it.
These are aimed at party favours for kids, the kind of thing you can pop onto school bags, pencil cases, or little party bags. And I have to say, I’m genuinely impressed with how they’ve come out. They’re super sharp, high quality, and exactly how I want them to look. No shortcuts, no substitutes.
I did toy with the idea of hand painting some with acrylic pens too. It gives the wood a really nice pop of colour and makes them feel even more special. I’m just not sure I want to dedicate the time to doing that all the time. I guess it really depends whether people would want it enough to pay a bit extra for the added work.
Away from the workshop, I also took our beloved Duke (golden retriever extraordinaire) out for a proper walk around a local park. There were fishermen out braving the cold, which was actually really nice to see. I used to go fishing with my grandad years ago, so it brought back some lovely memories.

Duke was an absolute dream, as always. Honestly, he’s the best dog we’ve ever had.
It didn’t start out that way though. We’ve worked on his recall for years because if he saw a squirrel, it didn’t matter where we were or what was going on… he was gone. And he’d come back in “three to five business days”. 😅
But now? He’s brilliant. Back on every call, steady as anything. It’s taken a lot of patience (mainly from Sam!), but it’s paid off.
Our free gift offer is back 🎁
One more thing before I go: our free gift offer is back.
If you spend £60 on anything, you’ll get a completely free gift up to £19.99. It’s a cracking deal, especially if you’ve been waiting for the right moment to order.
Just a heads-up as well: watch stock is very low, and we’ve got no more stock due before Christmas. So if there’s a particular watch you’ve had your eye on, I wouldn’t hang about too long.
That’s us for this week. A quiet end to January, plenty of designing, lots of rain, and one very good boy keeping us company. 💛
