41 days of rain… so we made dinosaurs 🦖

Sorry I’m a bit late this week… but here we go!

We’re into the second week of February already, and the weather here in the UK has picked up a bit temperature-wise… but somehow we’ve still got more rain. I even heard on the news that it’s rained for 41 days straight. How mad is that?!

Anyway, enough about the weather. Let’s talk Valentine’s. Do you celebrate, and if you do, what are your plans?

We tend to keep it pretty low key. Our favourite kind of Valentine’s is picking up something nice from our go-to supermarket, then actually putting a bit of effort into cooking together at home. Nothing fancy, just good food, a bit of music in the background, and being properly present with each other.

Because if we’re honest, it’s not easy to do that in the week. Like a lot of couples (especially at our age), once the day’s done and we finally sit down, it’s all too easy to end up sticking something on the TV or scrolling on our phones without even realising how much time’s passed. So this Saturday we’re making it the point to slow down and be present.

What have we been up to?

It’s been a busy one in the workshop this week. We’ve been making loads of products and we’re really on it.

Our daughter is super into dinosaurs at the moment, which has completely inspired me. I’ve started working on some dinosaur-themed wall pieces. Think door signs and little bits of wall art that are easy to put up in a bedroom or playroom.

One idea I’m testing is using those self-adhesive strips that claim they don’t damage walls… we’ll see about that. But even if it’s not perfect, the goal is to reduce the risk and make it easier for people to put them up without committing to screws and holes.

We’ll keep our socials updated as soon as they’re live and ready.
I’m also working on some super cute Easter décor and basket decorations. These take a bit longer (lots of little details), but I’m hoping I can get them finished and ready next week.

A little Duke update

We also managed a pub trip this week to catch up with friends, and of course we took Duke. He got lots of fuss, and yes… far too many treats.

This photo is him doing that “I’ve eaten too much and now I regret everything” look. But honestly, he’s worth it.

Got an idea?

If you’ve got a product idea in mind, let me know. You genuinely never know… we might end up making it, and if it’s a good one, I might even send you one as a little surprise. 🙂
