A cosy cottage break, sheep feeding… and a Mother’s Day peek
We skipped last week’s newsletter because we took a short little break, and honestly… it was exactly what we needed. We went away for the weekend to an Air BnB in a cosy countryside cottage with a log burner and a hot tub. Absolute bliss. The kind of place where you instantly relax the second you walk through the door.
On the way we stopped in Church Stretton, near The Long Mynd. If you’ve never heard of it, The Long Mynd is this gorgeous stretch of open hill and moorland in the Shropshire Hills. It’s all big skies, winding roads, views for miles, and those peaceful walks where you feel like your brain finally slows down a bit.
It was the reset I needed. I’ve been flat out making products for the business, and sometimes you don’t realise how much you need a change of scene until you’ve got one.
Our daughter absolutely loved it too. The highlight for her was feeding the sheep on site… which may come back to haunt me, because she now loves sheep a bit too much. I can already see a future where every field we pass becomes an emergency stop. 😅
We also had a little stop up at the reservoir on The Long Mynd (National Trust area), and sat in the sunshine with sandwiches. It was a “tropical” 12°C, which honestly felt amazing. If you’re reading this from outside the UK, just know that 12°C in sunshine after about two months of near constant rain and single-digit temperatures feels like summer. After that we grabbed a coffee and headed back to get cosy in front of the fire. Simple, but perfect.
Mother’s Day is creeping up 💛
Mother’s Day is just around the corner and we’ve made a beautiful new wooden heart ornament featuring two cute rabbits looking up at the moon, with the quote:
“I love you to the moon and back.”
It’s one of those keepsakes that’s lovely on a shelf all year round, not just for one day.
Watch restock (small batch!)
We’ve also restocked our popular watches. It’s naturally quieter at this time of year, so we don’t hold loads of stock, which means some designs can sell through quickly.
So if you’ve had your eye on a watch, I’d say order sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.Anyway, hope you have a great start to the week, and if you’re in the UK… fingers crossed the rain gives us a break. 🙌
