What have we been up to?
How was Valentine’s Day and Pancake Day for you? Do you celebrate them?
We kept Valentine’s simple. A nice meal at home and then a murder mystery game Sam ordered from Cases and Clues. Not sponsored, just genuinely brilliant. Ours is set on a cruise ship and we’re still trying to work out whether it was murder or suicide. There’s about two hours of investigating left.
It’s such a good way to properly switch off from phones and TV. Just make sure you have a big table.
Pancake Day & Mother's Day
Then suddenly it was Pancake Day. No proper photos this week as it’s been a bit chaotic behind the scenes, but we had lots of fun. Sam is amazing at making pancakes. For me it’s always blueberries and maple syrup.
This year though I tried breaded chicken and maple syrup. I didn’t expect it to work… but it really did.
What’s the strangest topping you’ve ever had?
Next up is Mother’s Day. I know this time can be difficult for some, so I won’t go into it too much in future emails. I’ll just say our olive wood hearts are always incredibly popular and we have around 30 left at the moment.If you’ve been thinking about one, it might be worth ordering soon.
